Sonos Module

Up the ante with Sonos control!

Sonos is a great device to play your favourite music across multiple zones.

Now you can enjoy the power of controlling and viewing your Sonos devices within your system all from the convenience of an AMX Touch Panel.

No need to use multiple devices or look around for other remotes anymore; simply connect the Sonos Module for AMX to your system within the same Network and the module will auto-discover your devices ready to control and play!

Automatic updates

Staying on top of code, always

One of the most powerful new features to be brought to the world of AMX modules is now built-in as part of the Sonos Module - Automatic updates through the Internet!

So, you can rest assured that as new features are introduced to Sonos, your customers also get to experience them without requiring you to visit their site and change code each time an update is applied.

Utilising the AMX Duet feature-set, the Sonos Module can apply updates to itself without affecting or changing any code that you have already placed within the system. This gives the user access to more services as they are introduced to the Sonos Music System with the option for the user to upgrade.

3rd Party Services

Be prepared for more…

With more and more services being added to the Sonos system the Sonos Module for AMX now supports Automatic Updates.

3rd party services such as Rhapsody and Spotify are now being added to the Sonos module.

The first of the 3rd party services to be
added soon is the “Rhapsody Plugin” which
will enable users of the Rhapsody service
to access and control the service through
the Touch Panel interface.

Extended API

Benefit from amazing flexibility

As fellow programmers, we understand that there will always be a need for a custom installation. Hence we have extended the API to allow more control of the module and more custom event handling.

Need to play a playlist directly from one command? Want to be able to adjust the volume to a set level? Want to change if the Popups belong to a page?

Easy. We’ve made it really simple for you, giving you the flexibility to deliver greater customization for your customers.

Download the module now to see all the available API commands.

Zone Grouping

Enjoy the ease of one-click control

It is extremely easy to add a new zone to your Sonos system and have the Sonos module for AMX pick it up almost immediately, without the need for any code changes.

Being able to control zones within Sonos has always been one of the many great features of the Sonos system.

Now you can group and ungroup zones, as well as control the music and volume, all from your AMX Touch Panel
interface.

User Friendly Interface

The irresistible allure

The rich and easy to use interface lets you browse your media easily, and search better and faster with search auto-suggest and word filter capabilities.

The professional and stylish user interface features a new style of list box that lets you flick, scroll and even change speeds when scrolling.

What’s more, you can complement your system with keypads and remotes as the module accepts smaller interfaces as well. Use R4s and keypads to run a simple interface to interact with the Sonos devices.
