XBMC Module

Fun with your on-screen & off-screen favourites!

The cool and funky XBMC module makes your AMX control panel even more useful and desirable to enjoy your multi-media content. You’ll love the flexibility: use the touch panel or the on-screen interface to select and play the media.

To integrate the XBMC, simply declare the Touch Panel devices and upload the code; TP4 files bundled within the module cover the most popular Touch Panel screen sizes. Free yourself up from the confusing and complicated integration process and focus more on your project.

What’s more, you can choose how much memory to use. All you need to do is to declare the number of servers (1-5) and touch panels (5-20); the module can adopt the memory and processor load accordingly.

Multi-Server support

One module, multiple zones!

Control up to 5 servers from 20 touch panels to make the most of the multi-server capability built to the XBMC module. Flip from one server to the other with the Touch Panel interface or within code using the external API.

The multi-server capability allows you to have separate zones within your space, but still access the same media, be it an XBMC box within the lounge room and another in the Theatre.

Play different content on each XBMC device while still in control of everything else around your house.

Add-ons and Sources

More features at your fingertips!

The XBMC module also provides additional
capablility of viewing content from the add-ons
available within XBMC.

For example, if you are a fan of Shoutcast, just
add the module through the on-screen interface
and you can access all the content directly
from the Touch Panel interface.

Or, if you are not a fan of
using the built-in music and
video library, create some
sources through the
on-screen interface and
access your favorite files
across the network using
the sources tab.

Extended API

Benefit from amazing flexibility

As fellow programmers, we understand that there will always be a need for a custom installation. Hence we have extended the API to allow more control of the module and more custom event
handling.

Need to play a playlist directly from one command? Want to be able to adjust the volume to a set level? Want to change if the Popups belong to a page?

Easy. We’ve made it really simple for you, giving you the flexibility to deliver greater customization for your customers.

Download the module now to see all the available API commands.

Playlist Management

Playtime, anywhere, anytime!

Create your own playlists comprising of your favorites - straight from the Touch Panel interface. Just select a song, an album or an artist; add each item to the queue and choose save when finished.

If you wish, queue up movies or TV shows: just add each movie or TV Show to the queue and choose save. Access the playlist anytime you want from the selection or even program your own call within code using the external API.

User Friendly Interface

It’s all about the interface.

Easy, stylish, sophisticated & lovable!

The rich and easy to use interface lets
you browse your media easily and
search better and faster with search
auto-suggest and word filter
capabilities.

The professional and stylish user
interface features a new style of list
box that lets you flick, scroll and
even change speeds when scrolling.

What’s more, you can complement your system with keypads and remotes as the module accepts smaller interfaces as well. Use R4s and keypads to run a simple interface to interact with the XBMC devices.

developers that can help you with all your support requests.

We are here to help!

Our modules have been built by experienced AMX programmers and run through extensive beta testing to ensure that you have a tried, tested & quality product.

I've been recommending XBMC as a media solution for some time, now I can integrate it too.- C Dodwell
